Tom Bihn - Aeronaut Maximum Carry-On Travel Bag
Ugh...the luggae carousel. Avoid it by taking it all with you on the plane. Tom Bihn makes ridiculously good bags. they ooze quality, are as rugged as the stubble on umm...(insert bearded, rugged actor's name here) chin and literally last forever. The Aeronaut has been out awhile and is one of their biggest sellers, both literally and figuratively. It's huge (45 liters / 2700 cu. in.) - precision engineered to use every millimeter of space it can while still qualifying for carry on status on airlines. Quality YKK splash-proof zippers hide spacious, smartly designed compartments and useful nooks. One the greatest features is its carryability (I made that word up). It can be held like a tote, worn like a shoulder bag (with included strap) or a quick zip on the back unveils two fully functional backpack straps for schoolbag style portage. Check out the pics (click the image link here) and the reviews at their site for more info. Only 2 cons: It's pricey at $200, because it's made in the USA with US workers. Also, if you're petite, you may look a little...dwarfed by the size.
