this chair looks particularly comfortable, the perfect shape to accommodate my generous ass. in classic white, i see this becoming a lifelong favorite. definitely going on my wishlist.

Well, I guess my Aeron chair is outdated now. This new task chair from Herman Miller is supposed to be the ultimate in ergonomic design. I just wish the back weren't so ugly. Oh, and that it didn't cost over $1500.00.

Another mid-century modern classic, the Aeron chair never goes out of style. As they are typically seen in black, i think this taupey color is a unique take. I would use one as an occasional chair in the living room.

There are so many cushions involved in this chair. Its great! The pillows are thick and inside a metal frame.

Plastic gets a bad rap, but think about how iconic this Eames chair is. And it's not like you are ever going to throw it away -- in which case someone else would just pick it up, clean it up and sell it for hundreds of dollars.

Injection-molded polyethylene emerges as something wholly natural and fluid in Tokujin Yoshioka’s Tokyo-Pop Collection (2002). The indoor/outdoor collection’s sensuous, organic lines were defined by the proportions of the human body, creating a study in the innovative use of a man-made material. Initially fabricated out of pliable honeycomb paper, the Armchair’s prototype was then shaped on the basis of the imprint left by a body while settling into it. The polyethylene used to mold the collection is 100% recyclable. Named Design Miami/Designer of the Year 2007, Yoshioka has work in the permanent collections of MoMA and the Pompidou in Paris. A designer who interprets his work to be the creation of something surprising and joyful, Yoshioka stays true to his philosophy with Tokyo-Pop. Made in Italy.
