Although my favorite song on this album is by far and away "Talk", I love the raw, vulnerable sound that pervades X & Y. It reminds me so much of that raw and vulnerable feeling of falling (or being) in love.

When it first came out, I was slightly bummed the sound wasn't harder, more White Stripes-ish, but over time I love the pop infusion. The songs are catchy, not overly popy, but a nice balance.

You'll be speaking the local lingo and the words/ phrases that they didn't teach you in school that will help you get into a club, get you a drink and get you laid. It will teach you to flirt, shop, order food and get home safely in a cab. It will also teach you how to say '@#$ off' and it will teach you to say 'I love you'- the worst thing that'll happen is you'll at least start up a conversation.

You can also buy the physical CD on Amazon. Alison Sudol (a.k.a. A Fine Frenzy - very cool name btw :D) is an interesting artist. I'm not going to say she is the best or her work very ground breaking, but some of her stuff is pretty good. She also has a gorgeous voice, which she occasionally lets shine like it should. Songs I like: 1. 'You Picked Me' - cool Coldplay-like sounds, beautiful voice and poetic lyrics - though they are a little repetitive. 2. 'The Minnow and the Trout' - poetic lyrics once more 3. 'Rangers' - see the Coldplay influence again, as well as her great voice and some cool, atonal shifts in the song. 4. 'Almost Lover' - very pretty lyrics, sung with real feeling from her great voice. Sweet, simple piano in the background. I certainly think this is an artist to watch, and you should buy the CD if you want some pretty good songs - much better than the pop stuff circulating non-stop right now.

I recently saw Massive Attack live, and they are still as good as ever. If you enjoy electronica, in particular trip hop, then this album is worthwhile.
