Fair Indigo: A Guide to Green Housekeeping by Christina Strutt
My efforts at housekeeping are consistent, but not necessarily well informed. I have considered buying other guides (Martha Stewart's, for instance) but this one appeals to me for its promise of creating, not only a cleaner home, but also a more peaceful one. With a little gardening guidance thrown in for good measure, I am sold.
The aptly named "Fair Bear" is fairly made and organically constructed, making him the ideal (and truly green) playmate. You can even dress him up in a mini collection of eco tees and pants.
Upgrade your brown bag to a "lunchbug" : a reusable lunch tote that is green in both purpose and design, irresistibly adorable and made in the USA. In ladybug, pink flora, blue flora or jungle print.
In addition to being literally green, this lunch kit is the Full Monty, with insulation, a water bottle, 4 food-safe containers, and napkins. AND it's dishwasher safe.
Okay, so, it was the "tasty" graphic on this lunch box that initially grabbed me, but the BPA-free construction sold me.
