Ok as I go along my criteria keep getting more specific. on top of everything else I want something that 7. isn't suede (because I want to be able to use these in the rain), 8. are almost as comfy to wear as sneakers and, 9. need to be wide enough in the calf to let me tuck in pants. So these have a lot going for them. My two problems: The heel on this is a little higher than I'm looking for. I could probably live with that but they're $255 and I'm looking to spend under $200. Once again, I could be convinced that that's an investment in quality. Not done looking tho.

Sadly Steve Maddden boots are always too short in the toe box for me and a half size larger would solve the problem but they don't make shoes in 10.5 The search continues.
