The Ultimate Coffee Cup by David Pier
Is this the ultimate coffee cup? Designer David Pier says so. He has designed this white porcelain cup and saucer to be the best around. The set is made from lead-free porcelain, and is microwave and dishwasher safe. The saucers also double as lids. What makes this mug different is that it has an undulating rim designed to fit the rim better and prevent spills. The oval body is meant to bring the center of gravity closer to the hand. I am not sure whether or not it is the ultimate coffee cup but the design has a certain fluid charm. It sells for $22 each (buy five and get the sixth free).
Another mid-century modern classic, the Aeron chair never goes out of style. As they are typically seen in black, i think this taupey color is a unique take. I would use one as an occasional chair in the living room.
I like this stainless steel flatware set. Its a bit comical.
My favorite pencil. The quality of a Ticonderoga with a thick, comfortable triangular design and a splendid matte black finish that just looks so darn cool. Oh, and the kids love them.
