This cookie jar is very rare indeed, and unique from the others in the collectors guide book as well. This adorable vintage Rocking Horse cookie jar is Lane's unmakred version. The only marking is on the bottom of XX which is the ... This cookie jar is very rare indeed, and unique from the others in the collectors guide book as well. This adorable vintage Rocking Horse cookie jar is Lane's unmakred version. The only marking is on the bottom of XX which is the Mold marking. It was designed by Lane & Co. in the 1950s, but Don Winton is the one who actually designed the Mold for them. The reason this particular horse stands out from Lanes other rocking horse's is because the colors. While most were in the soft muted pastel colors with a white base for the horse, this one has vibrant green and reds, and the horse is done in brown. I also noticed some maker flaws with this jar as well. The feet were not completed, there are no hoofs. You can also see the paint mistakes which occurred on the bottom in the red in the third photo down. A True Oopsie cookie jar by the maker which of course makes it more valuable because it was flawed in the making therefor it is truly one of a kind because I cant find any like it anywhere. For that matter I cant find any Lane Rocking horses available at all anywhere! This cookie Jar does have 2 small chips on the lid which are shown in the last 2 photo's, but is nothing major, and does not detract from this lovely piece at all. Other than that it is in perfect condition. There is no cracks at all in this piece and to be honest I cant even see any crazing either. If there is any crazing its very minimal and cant be seen, at least not by me. Cookie Jar measures approx. 12 3/4" X 7 1/2" The Value of the Lane Rocking Horse cookie jars value from 250.00 - 400.00 depending on type, and condition. When pricing this jar I took into consideration the two small chips, Its unique colors which differ from the others, and the makers flaws which makes it a one of a kind piece. This will make a wonderful gift for you or any collector, or horse lover. This Beautiful wreath I created is truly one of a kind. I love to do these pieces for several reasons. 1. They are always bright and cheerful no matter what the season is. 2. They smell great! 3. I get to use up a lot of my old stock beads on them hehehe. This large wreath is very special though because it is a keepsake piece. The center features a beautiful vintage golden locket to display pictures of your family, kids, grand kids, or that special someone in. The out side of this wreath contains an assortment of artificial flowers like Lily's, Carnations, Pink Roses, and Beautiful glittery green leaves. Amongst the flowers I have done bead work, containing gemstones as well on the outside, and down the center. Gemstones in this piece are cherry quartz, red coral, jasper, shell, and sea glass, accessorized with Glass, and Acrylic beads. The center is adorn with a vintage photo locket that opens, and closes that has a red feather behind it. On the side of the locket is a pewter red blazing sun, which is easily adjusted so it sits the way you want it without blocking any of the photo's you place within the locket. I showed this in one of the pictures above to. The scent is one of my own unique creations, and it is so refreshing. It will just lighten up your room! It is scented with Minty Lavender, which is just totally amazing! The Coyote shows the people what not to do in life. He is the teacher of right and wrong. Along the bottom you will also find Dangling Gemstones of Black Onyx, Citrine, Lapis, and Black Onyx with Beautiful Long Pheasant Feathers and a musical chime at the end. The embroidery makes this towel beautiful. The mermaid is embroidered over a green sea turtle applique made from a green woven fabric. The brown and gold dress of this beautiful 9 inch tall mermaid is embroidered using a mylar type opalescence film. Each year I try to create a special embroidered item for birthdays of the girls in my Mardi Gras Krewe. Each is a little different but the same.
