TIP: Balance one dramatic color with neutrals. Dark red lipstick, rosy blush and bright jewel-toned eyes are pretty each on their own, but all together on one face looks old. Though the balance works for all combinations, e.g. subtle eyes with bright rosy cheeks or dramatic eyes with neutral cheeks, we prefer the latter. Dramatic eyes means you need a sheer blush like Benefit's Sheer Cream Blusher, which also has the added benefit (pun intended) of being creamy, which is less drying on older skin than a powder blush.
