Puzzle Rings - 8 Band
The only piece of jewelry I've ever wanted to steal from my father, these 8-band puzzle rings have been a favorite of mine since I was 8 years old. Eight interlocking (so that none ever get lost) bands can be squeezed and forced to fall away from each other, leaving you a mind-bending puzzle to reassemble in your spare time. I was first turned on the them in Turkey, when for my 8th birthday, I was given a 4-band silver puzzle ring. It took me... oh... three minutes of practicing to be able to take it apart and re-assemble it. Some years later, back in Turkey a second time, I bought a 6-band ring. Through no fault of my own, I was never really able to master putting it back together. (Hey! I don't have to defend myself here. I was a teenager. I had a *lot* going on besides putting together jewelry, got it?) Anyway, my Dad owned the 8-Band, and he could just pop the rings out, look at them for half a second, and reassemble them at parties and stuff in no time flat. And now, you can own one, complete with instructions. Available in all sorts of different flavors (!), these rings are beautiful, fun, and conversation starters.

It is now known as Depression Glass, and is salvaged from dumps in Pennsylvania's Amish country, which helps the environment and wildlife. The pink glass is from vintage cake plates while the green is from vintage cookie jars, and each is finished with a sterling silver wire. These are so cute and could go with just about any outfit. A great gift to give, too, because they have such a great story! A matching necklace is also available to complete the set!
