Borrowers (1998)

Borrowers (1998)

The four-inch-tall Clock family secretly share a house with the normal-sized Lender family, "borrowing" such items as thread, safety pins, batteries and scraps of food. However, their peaceful co-existence is disturbed when evil lawyer Ocious P. Potter steals the will granting title to the house, which he plans to demolish in order to build apartments. The Lenders are forced to move, and the Clocks face the risk of being exposed to the normal-sized world. This film is hysterically funny and makes you look at everything from a differrent perspective! It basically makes you want to be a borrower! Totally worth watching.

By 'good' I don't mean cinematic masterpiece. I mean: a) I wasn't mad at it b) I was entertained c) i didn't feel like I had just wasted the last hour and a half Plus, you get to watch acting favs like Depp, Walken and Charles Dutton. The movie is a real time narrative about a guy (Depp) who gets tangled up in an assassination plot of a political figure. Christopher Walken plays the goon thats holding Depp's daughter hostage. If he doesn't kill the politico, his cute lil daughter gets it. yikes.
