Created by André Gillli for Blomus, Bebob is a stainless steel firewood storage unit. Ever since I moved into my new loft I've been looking for something that would allow me to keep a few logs while not looking out of place in a modernist setting. This might be it.

A while back on a different page of my life when I used to have delicious coffee at The House on Genesse, I'd seen a brilliant collection of ceramic logs in a metallic gunmetal glaze displayed in the house fireplace. I've been wanting to recommend them to you but it's taken some time to find them n line. To be honest I'm not really sure that the Roost logs are the same as the fireplace logs I'd seen, but hey these are "enchanted forest logs" so they must be the right ones.

I am so excited to use our chiminea! Since it's getting cooler outside, it's a great time to use it. Right now we're keeping our wood in the garage, but I'd like to keep it in this! With winter approaching, so is the basic need to sit by the fire, a reflex that is still pretty much hardwired into our brains. I'm lucky enough to have a wood-burning fireplace, but I saw the Java-Log at the coop e few days ago and I was curious to try it. The Java-Log is made from spent coffee ground and soybean based wax, burns better than wood, doesn't have that chemical smell that most fake firelogs have, and is good for the environment. The production of Java-Log keeps about 4 million tons of coffe grounds from landfills every year, saves trees, and produces less air pollution than burning fire wood.

I never seen this in person but the whole idea of a fireplace in my NYC apt sounds really cool. This looks like a nice novelty to add to my collection.
