Outdoor Christmas Ornaments
I love these but the price? Oh HELL no! A few years ago I actually made a few dozen of these- both in the sizes pictures and larger- to hang in a large event space for a holiday festival. And let me tell ya, I did a few dozen for a fraction of this price. How? I'll rec the link in a moment but just in case you don't find it: http://barnardltd.com/product.jsp?prodId=1878&catId=628 What you'll find there are big balls. Big white styrofoam balls up to 30" in diameter (the bigger ones come in halves you just glue together). Spray paint them in different colors (put a coat of something on underneath or a lot of the paint will be absorbed by the foam) and then use stencils (ie snowflakes) or a loose measuring tape (for stripes) to sketch your pattern. Then spray within the desired design with a strong 3M-like spray epoxy and sprinkle glitter (order online by bulk- very cheap... and "holographic" glitter is the best at catching the twinkling lights) thickly. Shake off the excess and ta da! Congrats! You have fancy balls!
