The Office - Season One
I just started watching this show (I know, what is wrong with me??) and I actually got myself all caught up (well, mostly) via the Netflix free trial. I marathon watched all four seasons available on Netflix, and I can't get enough. It might be silly for me to want to own these if I could just rent them via a program that I already signed up for, but I want to own it. Starting with the very first season.

Certainly one of the funniest movies ever made, but it also has an often overlooked, but tightly wound and very enjoyable plot. The dude just wants his rug back. Hilarity ensues.

While your favorite shows are on hiatus, you can always catch up on some little gems you may have missed. I'd recommend Pysch. It's funny little show with a stupid sounding premise: A guy manages to convince a couple of skeptic... It's funny little show with a stupid sounding premise: A guy manages to convince a couple of skeptical detectives that he's truly psychic, mainly by solving their cases for them. Truth is, he's just very observant, and TV cops are never as good as the real ones. Still, once you get past the first few episodes of the first season, the show is solid. The banter between Shawn and Gus alone (the guys on the cover) is worth the time - hilarious memories for anyone who grew up or lived in the 80's, as well as just plain fun. The chemistry between the two as well as all the other highly memorable characters is spot on. Not to mention, there's always a tangled little mystery that's fun to watch get put all tidy and right at the end. My writing skills are sorely lacking, but watch some episodes from seasons 2 or 3 on hulu.com . That's when the writing really took off and made the show really great.

...ah Curb, it's one of my many late adaptions, but maybe the best. This season, it's quickly becoming one of my favorite shows still on air.

I just love this show. Particularly that it's sans laugh track. I don't need to be cued to laugh. If it's funny, I'll laugh...it's simple. Craziness abounds, it's like live action Dilbert. Also, I have a crush on Jim.

Especially the bits about his family, I laughed so hard, my stomach hurt. Eddie Murphy is brilliant at pointing out obvious and does it in such a good, in you're face way that you can't but enjoy it. My suggestion is: Go on youtube and watch the whole thing, it is so worth it.

For me, this was the first Cohen Brothers film I saw. In no questionable way, it transformed me into a lifetime fan. And, even though it was made over 20 years ago, it remains one of the funniest films I've ever seen.

Jim moving to Stamford and then returning to Scranton via the branches merging, to him dating Karen and then finally realizing that Pam is actually the only one for him... and that leaves out all of the craziness that is Michael Scott and Dwight, not to mention Kelly and her total diva-ness.
