Ian Ingersoll Cabinetmakers

The Shaker influence is strong in Litchfield County, where Ian Ingersoll set out to become a cabinet and furniture maker. Working in this style seemed natural to him, and he mastered it so perfectly that his workshop is now considered the world’s leading source for handcrafted Shaker design. After 30 years, though, he has become adept in other styles as well. He’s particularly interested in bringing the artistry of legendary woodworker George Nakashima to "the next level." Ingersoll works with architects and also does his own custom design. His work can be seen at his Connecticut showroom and on his website.
