My generation is probably the last to remember the cassette tape. I think my first was the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack (to the musical, not the movie)... and I used to jam out to that and Shania Twain on my hot pink, RoseArt-s... Ohhh how far we've come. In any case, this necklace brings back all of the memories of my young childhood, good and bad. With the chains dangling, it reminds me of the time my best friend convinced me it would be a good idea to pull out the tape part and thus ruined a cassette. (It was probably one of my mother's favorites...) But this necklace is cute and kitschy. Definitely fun.
