3m Aluminum Foil Tape 425 Silver
Like most people who work with their hands or who have ever fixed anything, duct tape was my first true love. But now that I've met aluminum tape, I'll never go back. This stuff is so useful for patching or covering holes in anything metal. If you own a house or are thinking of owning a house, get a roll of aluminum foil tape. You can patch ducts, use it to seal dryer hoses, join pieces of glass together to make a hinge, and put it anywhere you want to reinforce something with a thin layer of metal. It doesn't have that awful sticky residue of duct tape and once it goes on it smooths down like foil. Don't get me wrong, this stuff won't replace duct tape but it will add a whole new spicy dimension to your love of adhesives. If you are a do-it-yourselfer, tool guy, repair person, artist, or if you just like shiny things, pick up a roll.
