I have only read two of her books but I am already reved up to read her others! The first two I read are a series, Something Borrowed and Something Blue. I absolutly love this book. Its funny, original, its just awesome. I really didn't know if I'd like it when I bought it at a used book store, but I am soooo glad I did. Teachers and historians talk about the US Presidents like their gods or something. This book tells us that they were just like you and me. And if you think the US Presidents of this era were bad, holy crap, your mind will change once you read this book. And also, this book is hilarious! Its great!

It's a very absorbing text, and I prefer the NIV Study version, because their footnotes are fantastic. Genesis is riveting. My favorite story is about Joseph (you know, the one with the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical). If you like the Old Testament, Robert Alter's recent translation, The Five Books of Moses, is very rich.
