As part of my What's in my bag series. Yes, I admit I have a GPS in my backpack. Which means that if I want to, I can have the exact coordinate of my position on earth, with a precision of a few meters, and still be completely lost. The GPSlim was one of the first pocket sized bluetooth GPS with the new SirfIII chipset, which gives it greater accuracy, and the ability to work within "Urban Canyons" (who inventes these terms?) which means that I can use it int the city as well as on trips, where I can annoy my wife by taking bearings of interesting sites while on vacations. The bluetooth part means that I can connect to it from my phone, a laptop, and my new phone as soon as I can convinced my self that an upgrade is no longer just a fantasy, but justified.

This GPS is a wonderful gift for anyone. Has a lot of neat features. It's as small as an iphone and very light weight. Perfect for those that don't have a sense of direction!

I have had 5 or 6 LG cellphones through Verizon over the years (have lost exact count, may even be 7), and they have always been incredibly reliable. This phone, the LG enV²™ is sleek, stylish, and isn't more complicated than it really needs to be. It includes great features like a full qwerty keyboard, a 2.0 megapixel phone, navigation system, bluetooth, and a whole lot more. It can also microSD cards with up to 8g capacity. Nice. Comes in two colors, maroon and black. At only $99, I highly recommend this LG phone. For more info on the phone you can check out C-NET's review of it. They also highly recommend.

The feature that I like is that the system has speed information and traffic camera locations built in as well. Great info for those of us that manage to get caught speeding at sudden speed changes. It is also bluetooth capable to link up with your bluetooth phone.

GPS made me buy this device the most since it also has TMC (Traffic Messaging Channel) function built into it due to the FM radio receiver. TMC will alert me of any traffic problems ahead of time. Service is not free but I think it is $100 for two years. Not bad for saving time on the road.

This little puppy works well. It takes up to 1 minute to acquire enough satellites to fix its location, so the TomTom software on my treo doesn't even acknowledge its existence until the green light starts flashing. It takes up to 1 minute to acquire enough satellites to fix its location, so the TomTom software on my treo doesn't even acknowledge its existence until the green light starts flashing. But then it works like a champ. It has a long battery life and seems to be quite accurate in its location readings. After about six months, mine developed a problem with its power switch, but I used their web interface to fill out a problem report, got a timely response from their support engineer, and US Globalsat sent me a replacement within days.
