Graco: TurboBooster SafeSeat

Graco: TurboBooster SafeSeat

I live on a state border, and both states now require kids to use a booster seat until they are 8 or 9 years old. This is the one we bought for when my nephews come to visit. It's easy to put together and easy to use - just sit it on the regular car seat and use the car's seatbelt. The back is removable, so older kids who are sensitive to how they appear won't look as if they're in a baby seat. The back height is adjustable too, so kids who don't mind can have a head rest - which is great for long trips. The arm rests are also adjustable, and there are two drink holders built in, which slide away when not in use

But, you do need to have a stroller that accepts your infant carrier. Not all stores have shopping carts that will hold your infant seat, so for many places, baby must be carried in a carrier, sling or infant car seat. Since most babies go to sleep in the car, it's a shame to wake them just to put them in a carrier or sling - it's much easier to leave them in the car seat and wheel them around. Plus, with the car seat attached, the two awnings meet and cover baby completely from sun, breezes, or light rain.
