RADIUS Source Toothbrush

RADIUS Source Toothbrush

Ok, I've been using this for almost a month now and what I thought was going to be awkward turns out to be comfortable. That hump in the handle........melts right into your palm. And the medium brush is more like soft, which my dentist recommended. Overall: Happy "Replaceable head toothbrush with renewable resource handle. Wood Fiber blended with PLA, a plastic derived entirely from Nebraska maize. The resulting material is 100% renewal resource." It is kind of silly that we must throw away an entire toothbrush. I'm not sure how much impact this would have, but it states something about how one prefers to live.

Last year, I bought a set of 3 baking sheets... now they are all scarred with some kind of stain, though I've only used them a hand full of times. This photo doesn't show how beautiful these are, but they are shiny aluminum from mostly recycled material --- which means it won't rust, it heats evenly and is light. The trademark is the "pebble" surface that allows less contact between pan and food creating a non-stick surface. They have cookie pans, cake pans and pizza pans. Packaging also uses recycled material.

This particular design has a silicone lid that securely attaches to the cup. The outside is matte and the inside is glazed. I prefer a version that Starbucks put out a few months ago. Their version is pretty much the same, but the outside is glazed (and of course has their logo) and the lid is plastic with a silicone liner to keep liquids sealed in. The key difference between the two is the price. "I Am Not A Paper Cup" is roughly $20 and the Starbucks version is $12. The upsides to either is that if you are a daily coffee drinker, you don't have to trash a paper cup and plastic lid every time you get take-out coffee. The downside is that both of them hold about 8 oz. - not favorable if you normally order a "grande" at Starbucks. Another issue for commuters is that it is not spill-proof or splash-proof. And finally, the Starbucks version CANNOT go into the microwave.

Just seems ridiculous NOT to use it. (Over an acre, look into an electric) Also, I will take this time to remind people to LEAVE THE GRASS CLIPPINGS ON THE LAWN! As long as the grass isn't so high that it's leaving huge clumps, those clippings are better for your grass (nitrogen=green) than any fertilizer. I'm an ex-landscape designer, so you can trust me.

It grows super fast, requires no pesticides, and provides lots of great nutrients to the soil (unlike crops that deplete nutrients). Though I will admit, the growing of it would get hairly in the U.S. due to it's glazy-eyed cousin. I bought a checkbook wallet and a men's wallet and the quality is great. Plus, I ordered the wallet right before Christmas -knowing there was no way I would get it in time- and I did! They had it to me from Canada in just a few days, don't know how they did it. **Update** It's been two Christmases since I gave this gift and it hasn't worn through like his previous "leather" ones. Still in fantastic shape... amazing!!
