Adobe Dreamweaver 8
I used to work on Dreamweaver so I'm a little biased, but this is the best WYSIWYG HTML editor around. The design surface is very accurate and it handles CSS like a pro. Dreamweaver is one of the few tools that enables you to learn how to author HTML from the code it lays down.

I would bet good, green money that "still can't read the word "asshat" without cracking up" is a phrase my own mother has never uttered. Sigh. I need another cocktail. Coda was the winner of the 2007 Apple Design Award for "Best User Experience". Consider Coda another essential and affordable program. I have to admit, I still use Transmit, BBEdit, CSSEdit, and Xyle scope, but Coda rounded out my web development arsenal. Worth the cost.
