Birdscapes: A Pop-Up Celebration of Bird Songs in Stereo Sound by Miyoko Chu, Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Julia Hargreaves
All winter long as I run through various areas, some relatively wild, others more populated, I notice the literal sound of silence. I finally realized: it is the lack of birds. So, when a robin hopped by me the other day, I knew we were finally in for a bit of a reprieve and spring was on its way. This book celebrates that wonderful orchestra, unique to each region of the world, that birds create ...and makes me appreciate all the more their return to my own deciduous forest region.
