Etu Moana - Aitutaki - Accommodation - Cook islands
Such an amazing place, yet quite simple and unpretentious. Went there for our honeymoon last year and it was everything that we hoped for, and more. The owners designed and built the bungalows and are very welcoming and accomodating. The natural beauty of Aitutaki is already a plus, but pair that with the wonderful hosts and the great laid-back attitude of the island and you have a winner. Go if you can.

Well, while in Puerto Rico, we went on a night kayak trip to the biobay. The guides urged us to use this eucalyptus spray, saying it is strong (*whew! Indeed) and effective. DEET adversely affects the little glowing organisms (in addition, to us, as it is a probable carcinogen). It's not easy to find though! Just shop around your city and you will eventually find it. Family safe and made from renewable resource (lemon eucalyptus). Would also be safe for pets, as dogs can get heartworm from mosquitoes.

Rising temps cause coral bleaching, and since reefs are an important ecosystem, all the other animals that depend on it will die also. Input "coral bleaching" into the search engine and take a look. Again, great idea for gifts or kids and adults.
