I'll put it this was, I know a significant amount of people that count this as one of their favorite albums of 2008. If you're into progressive electronic or crazy experimental, this is for you. I've never heard anything like it.

At around the edge of the 21st century Hip-Hop package design slipped out of it's quixotic hand drawn Rap stylings and began to inhabit the look and feel of slick packing design that was usually reserved for other less fantastical music forms. The cover design for Jay-Z's "Kingdom Come" is one of my favorites because it is a interactive work. What seems to be a straight up cover portrait of the artist is actually an illusion. The striking photo of Jay-Z is framed in a see through ruby colored slipcase that hides the actual hypnotic portrait of Jay_Z with and without his baseball cap, with and without his icon sunglasses. This image could have been the cover in it's own right, but it's psychedelic look may have been off target or misleading. Instead this image is meant as a alternative cover that shows the two sides of this particular performer. I think it's one of the best album cover designs.

The week the The trailer came out the somewhat obscure Smashing Pumpkins song became the 37th most downloaded song on the iTunes music store this week. Not a bad feat for a 10 year old song!

Her voice is amazing, and for people who also love Tom Waits as much as I do, I think this will be a treat.

I'm still not sure, but I do ...
