Sleepy Hollow (1999)

Having grown up not too far from Sleepy Hollow, I was more than familiar with the legend when I first watched this film. But director Tim Burton takes it another step creepier, making it all the more engrossing and intriguing. And, of course, Johnny Depp is the perfect Ichabod Crane, entranced by Christina Ricci's otherwordly countenance.

The movie is a real time narrative about a guy (Depp) who gets tangled up in an assassination plot of a political figure. Christopher Walken plays the goon thats holding Depp's daughter hostage. If he doesn't kill the politico, his cute lil daughter gets it. yikes.
