The contrast in age is heightened with the dated brick fireplace in the corner, which also brings a certain coziness to the kitchen. The slightly battered wooden floors that may have seen better days now possess a charm and character that a newer floor wouldn’t develop for many years. High-tech equipment including the television and satellite dish, however, bring us firmly back to the 21st century. A dramatic kitchen interior design for those who respect the past, but relish the now.
