Amber Cocoon Vase

Amber Cocoon Vase

The earliest so-called Peking Glass was created in the late seventeenth century to imitate porcelain. The dense, smoldering finish of the voluptuous Amber Cocoon vase by Robert Kuo for McGuire, opposite, was achieved using age-old Chinese glazing techniques. The ripe silhouette, approximately as wide as it is tall, seems to amplify a potential for explosive color. In a limited edition, each signed by the artist.
