La Mer The Cleansing Foam

La Mer The Cleansing Foam

Many people say that if you have washed your face with one cleanser, then it’s pretty much the same as any other. I beg to differ. True, there have only been a handful of cleansers which have really made me sit up and take notice; making a noticeable difference in my skin and my cleansing experience, but now I can add the La Mer The Cleansing Foam to that list. With my first use, it earned a spot on my top cleansers list. It’s a powerful cleanser, while at the same time gentle and refreshing. As per the directions, I applied it over dampened skin. The foam has a silky texture and is pearly mint green. It smells very refreshing and uplifting. As soon as it is in contact with water, it started to dissolve and the color turns from green to white. It was very easy to leather up into foaming bubbles. After rinsing my skin, it was remarkably soft and supple. I loved the clean, crisp scent lingering on my face as well. Many foaming cleansers I've tried did a good job washing away dirt and makeup. However, I found they tended to dry out my face afterward, especially on the cheeks. This foam is so rich and gentle that leaves my face thoroughly cleansed, soft and clear without being dry, tight, or irritating. After three weeks of use, I found the little black/white heads on my nose also decreased gradually. La Mer The Cleansing Foam contains marine extracts, a combination of fine jade and white pearl powders, magnetized tourmaline, and their famous Deconstructed Waters. The exclusive combination of fine jade and white pearl powders is rich in amino acids to gently polish the skin for a bright complexion, which really made the difference. This is truly a stand out product - mostly due to its gentleness and moisturizing properties. After washing my face, I always kept touching it because it was so soft and yet toned at the same time! If you are wondering if these benefits are worth its luxury price, the answer is yes. As a matter of fact, because it’s so concentrated, a small amount is needed, so this can certainly work for a daily washing regimen.

If we were told any other skin care brand had actual diamonds (1.75 carats of pure diamond dust) in their body scrub, we would either 1.) not believe them or 2.) think it was just a publicity stunt and not effective. However, this is Creme de la Mer - and you know how we feel about Creme de la Mer. Suffice it to say the diamonds, sea mud, tourmaline and all the other fabulous elements that went into making this body refiner are as effective and luxurious and all of our other favorite La Mer products (Check out our Best of La Mer This Next List!) The scrub is very soft and pliable and very lightweight. As soon as I applied it to slightly dampened skin, I noticed the sparkle (diamonds!) and liked that it had a significant amount of tightly packed fine grains that gave me a fantastic scrub. After rinsing off the scrub, my skin was not only smoother and baby soft, but I actually felt and saw the moisture that had been put back into my skin - it was glowing and I didn't have to use much post-shower body moisturizer at all. I used this 2x week for several weeks and was just so excited by the results. This is a phenomenal product, and absolutely what I would expect from the geniuses at Creme de la Mer! If you are looking for a little self indulgent body care purchase for yourself this spring, this is the one.

The great thing about La Mer's latest addition to the line, The SPF 30 Protecting Fluid, is that if you are a big fan of La Mer products (like I am) then this will be music to your ears. If, however, you have never tried La Mer before and need a wonderful primer/spf that will also make your skin look amazing (and doesn't cost as much as the original creme) -- then keep reading too! This Fluide De La Mer is a soft, pale green (just like the top of the packaging), and the texture is divine. It is a medium weight liquid that is soft, silky and light to the touch. I found that it went on my face smoothly and easily and had that trademark La Mer scent! It was soothing, hydrating and yes, provided that legendary La Mer glow! The finish is semi-matte. This was the perfect product to use as a primer. My makeup went on smoothly and there were no issues with the product caking, balling up or changing the texture of my makeup during the day. What is extraordinary about this product is that with the included SPF 30, there was NO trace of sunblock on my skin. The product sank in and dried completely clear. Many times primers with sunscreen still leave a faint trace of white or grayish cast on the skin, so this was one of my favorite features of the product. The technology used in this protecting fluid include tourmaline and malachite gemstones, which absorb light energy, to enhance anti-oxidant activity and prevent the appearance of discoloration. Combining that with their exclusive photonic spheres which capture light while diverting potentially damaging light from the skin and you've got one heck of a product. After using this product exclusively as a primer every day for several weeks, my skin looked radiant and the tone was fantastic. All in all, this is absolutely another home run for La Mer.

I have fallen in love with several of La Mer's products, but I was a little skeptical of this because I figured, "how can it really improve the results of my beloved Original La Mer cream?" I reminded myself of the old saying: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". But the box with the sea foam green was calling my name. After a few days, I decided to dive in... The Hydrating Infusion is a serum that is meant to hydrate skin and prepare it for the La Mer creams (original or gel-cream). I used about two pumps after cleansing and spread it between my hands before gently massaging into my face. It had a watery consistency with some weight to it, was smooth in texture, clear and spread easily. The fragrance was the classic la mer scent to me - slightly oceanic/citrusy, and did not linger very long on my skin. The serum sank into my skin very quickly, and I immediately felt a nice hydrating, "plumping" sensation on my skin. It didn't make my more oily spots greasier, and it hydrated the drier areas, like my cheeks nicely. The way I decided to test this product was to continue to use my La Mer original cream as usual, and see if there was improvement by layering it on top of the infusion. I have to say that La Mer has done it once again. After a week using both products together daily, my skin looked even more radiant than before, and my makeup even seemed to last longer. As I continued the regimen over several more weeks, I was even happier at how even my skin tone was, and how great my skin looked in the morning in particular. I didn't have any breakouts or irritations, and I found that because the infusion in so concentrated, two pumps in the am and pm was the perfect amount to get good coverage on my face, so the bottle definitely lasts several months. The packaging is great with the pump and shape of the bottle, so this is perfect for travel and the gym. Note: On very busy mornings I sometimes only had time to use the infusion, and my skin continued to look fantastic, glowing, and radiant with perfect hydration. This is another La Mer gem that made a significant difference in my skin and I now I won't be without it!"

Yes, this may be the most expensive mask that I have ever tried – but as I have learned time and time again with the La Mer line, it is worth it. This mask is actually a series of components that work together. There are pieces of upper and lower part cotton mask in a box along with a primer serum. When I applied the primer my skin was soothed, and softened in an instant. Talk about incredible..... I then went on to apply the sheet masks. These are the most luxurious mask sheets ever - made of the thickest and softest cotton soaked in a white lotion. They felt great on my skin and fit perfectly. After about 8 minutes (as directed) or so I removed it and went ahead to apply my (La Mer) cream and went to bed. I woke up with the supplest, clearest skin (even more so than just using the La Mer!), that was toned and very glowy. Despite the richness of the mask, I had no clogged pores in my t zone or breakouts. I must say that this is the most effective mask I have used to date and as the weeks went on I found that the effects accumulated and more than a few people said how amazing my skin looked. Highly recommended...
