As far as I'm concerned, this is the quintessential Irish import. Soap that leaves your skin better than found. Made from real lanolin extracted from wool fat (that doesn't harm the animal in the process). Nice.
Duo for her: natural soap of aloe and lanolin and facil oil with geranium and palmarosa essential oils.

Another Australian brand (and unfortunately only sold in Australia, for the present), and another amazing product! Last year I recommended another company that made lanolin-based lip products and it turned out to be better than most lip balms I've used (since they are wax based, which is great for protection but not so great for healing). This began my search for other lanolin-based products and I stumbled on to this. Again, an all-natural ointment and yes, it is called an ointment because it is more than a solution for lips. It is literally is an all purpose product, like Rosebud Salves just without the petroleum. You can use it to hold your eyebrows in place, cheeks, salve for cuts and scrapes, give the lashes a nice sheen and of course, resolve any lip issues. It also triples as a lip balm, lip salve and lip gloss. It's a must-have for all times -- it comes in a convenient tube. I would continue extolling it's virtues but when you visit the website, everything is explained and much better than I could attempt to. The prices is $14-18 (AUSD) but because of what the products do, I would classify it in the low price band. They also make these products with tint and SPF (a dark pink red (Apples), a deep taupe (Dark Honey), an orange peach colour (Sunshine) and a fantastic dusky pink (Rose), which are just great for regular everyday use. So a Green Must-Have... PS. If you are still reading this, shame on you, you should have stopped the moment I mentioned the website!

This company specialises in producing lip care products, using lanolin as the basis, as well as massage oil candles (more on that later). Their line of products include lip balms, all-natural lip scrub, lip plumper (which functions like the DuWop Lip Venom and Fusion's LipFusion) and of course the lip gloss (more on that later). I have tried all their products and I love their unscented lip scrub and lip balm (though this is not for those who like oil-based lip balms and wax-based lip balms) though they have scented products as well. My least favourite is the lip plumper but that's more to do with my allergy to lip plumpers than any fault of the product itself. However, this company specialises in really novel items: a lip gloss bracelet (though it resembles a bangle more). Their lip gloss isn't sold 'separately' as such (you can buy refills) and is actually designed to fit into a bracelet and are concealed. My only quibble is that I don't like the colours they have at the moment and that I am not much of a gloss user but it'd make a great present. Their other distinctive item are their massage oil candles, named LanoLights, which are candles you burn and when the candles become liquid, you can use it as a massage oil. I am not fond of massage oils but my mother is and she really likes them. They also make great gifts. While the products on the whole are on the reasonable scale, the bracelet is quite steep at initially $79 (now it's $49) but it would still make a great gift. The products are must-try and the bracelet is a must-buy if you are in the market for presents.
