I have a pair of studio lamps in my errrr...studio. But they're too industrial looking and way too dangerous (fire hazard). These on the other hand are less threatening and would look great in the home or home office.

This is really cook transparent concrete. You can add things behind it such as trees, etc and created really nice shadows or residential or commercial spaces. Great for partition walls.

My favorite lamp is from Vaughan Lighting. They have classic simple things. There's a solid crystal column lamp with no ornamentation that is fantastic, especially when you use it with a burlap shade. It gives it a twist, which is... The lamp has been in continuous production since, but neglectful marketing brought its distributor to the brink of bankruptcy. In 1989, Danish designer Gubi Olsen, having seen the lamp in a Copenhagen shoe shop, sought the Scandinavian distribution rights. Thousands of Danish homes and businesses now own a BestLite and in 2004, GUBI A/S assumed control of the lamp’s design repertoire, manufacture and marketing. The rest of the world may soon be embracing the Best.

"The way to promote individuality is with antiques and pieces that obviously took a great deal of care and time to make," says Blackman. The BC pieces meet that criterion. At once classical and modernist, glamorous and quirky, clean-lined and decorative, the collection includes seating, tables, lighting and accessories. It can be seen in the West Coast showroom and on the Blackman Cruz website.
