The sound quality is excellent although there definitely is a cap to how loud its going to get. Anyway, I let my little sister use it when she got a new ipod for her birthday and I haven't gotten it back since, that was 3 months ago. I'm definitely going to pick up 1 or 2 more for christmas gifts this year. I normally have a hard time thinking up good gift ideas so I thought I'd share this one.

  • Solar-powered light show? Sounds good to me.

Last summer I saw about 15 chinese paper lanterns at a campout hanging in the trees above someone's tent. A random rainbow of slow constantly changing colors, almost so subtle that you think you imagined it at first. And no electrical cords. Yup, you heard me, battery-operated color changing LED lanterns. I, of course, immediately wanted 20 of my very own. Thus the search commenced. It wasn't until I found myself at the same campout this summer and came across them again, and managed to hover over them longingly (and somewhat menacingly I was told) until I had found, cornered, and badgered the owner into revealing all of his secrets Oops! I meant, politely and graciously inquired of their origins. The ThinkGeek site very kindly also has the candle version.
