Interviews with soldiers, Americans of Japanese descent and their loved ones give this documentary the additional benefit of first-person narrative. 15 hours of coverage in all, this documentary would be difficult to view in one sitting and some parts may best be understood only after watching them more than once. Yet, not one second is monotonous.
