Built on tough looks, "Buffalo" was a protective street armor designed from what seemed to be a hyper stylized marriage of 30's thug-wear, and contemporary elastic dance skin. I'm not sure if the Buffalo boys and girls ever made it big outside of the U.K., I've only seen the propaganda like fashion spreads from the early issues of "i-D Magazine", "Dazed & Confused", and "The Face" (R.I.P.). Nice to see a book that documents the look.
