I really like the idea of this doormat; it's earthy, natural, and simple. But, I also really like color. Ok, so I'm cheap and love great-looking DIY. Like this. You don't have to do it so stuffy: if you want a more modern style apply the same technique to a contemporary vase (straight up-and-down, square, etc.).
