Estelle is an amazing artist out of the UK. She's fresh and different and I love her sound. "American Boy" should definitely get more attention than her first single.

Great pop song. It's catchy and infectious, just like it ought to be, with a good hook. It's got a good sing-along chorus and the beat is stirring. Wonderful summer pop song.

Buster Poindexter, also known as David Johanson (frontman of the New York Dolls), had a great commercial hit with the incredibly catchy, somewhat latin-tinged, "Hot Hot Hot". Great disposable summer pop hit.

Really good rendition of the Don Henly tune. They take it, speed it up, and put a slightly heavier spin on it. Definitely a nice modernization of the tune.

I know it's just a single but I do believe we can expect more from "The Cure" in the near future. "The Only One" is a more cheerful band than I remember, but the vocals are as edgy as ever.

i can't believe i forgot to review this before. sexy and a little creepy, this album was my #1 lp of 2006 by a mile. so far in front it almost won again in 2007. "wolf like me" was one of the early leaks, and that jangling, galloping beat is just addictive. you can't help it--it's like "i wanna be your dog" in that way. god, i could probably write a thousand more words on this album, but i won't--just go watch the "wolf like me' on youtube and thank me (and the other people who rec'd this) later.
