Melissa's Produce - Organic Ginger

Ginger is totally delicious and super-healthy. It is a powerful vasodialator and general body tonic. Supposedly very good at preventing infections. Plus it tastes awesome. I love the cool burn it gives. I always add ginger to my smoothies (along w/echinecea and st john's wort)

Peter Tutera suggests using the halves of orange peels as "bowls" for a scoop of vanilla ice cream. In citrus fruits, it's the vitamin C that is the fat-burning component because it reduces fat’s effectiveness and can liquefy or dilute it so that it exits the body. Add some lemon to your water, drink orange juice, and eat grapefruit in the morning.

I love pretty much all types of stone fruits (ie plums, peaches, apricots, etc) and I especially love the new hybrid stone fruits. Probably my favorite of all the stone fruit hybrids is the Flavorella Plumcot, a super-sweet and juicy, yellow-fleshed cross between a plum and, you guessed it, an apricot. Plumcots are totally delicious, super-refreshing, and totally a summer favorite, awesome for picnics. Kids love them too though they can be a bit messy because they are so juicy and it gets all over their faces. Biggest bummer about the flavorella plumcots is that they are only in season for a couple of weeks in late May/early June
