Husque Bowl
Australian designer, Marc Harrison, makes a fine range of bowls and serving-ware from macadamia nut shells. The nut encasement is often discarded. Harrison combines an injection molding process with ground shells and a binding compound, to make these smooth Husque bowls. The interiors are bright and remind me of candy-coated chocolates. Very touchable and clever.

These candles are lovely, and so smart (hence the name) -- with no flame, no heat, and no wax, they are wind-proof and mess-free...a godsend for clumsy candle-lovers :)

My mom made something similar to this (she's wayyy craftier than me) in brass and filled them with sunflowers. These would look nice lining a bookshelf or mantel in a more modern room though.
