The soundtrack to the movie single is wonderful but the film is so so, a bit boring. This was romantic comedy that made more sense in the last five years than it did in 1992 when I was just beginning to understand what or who I was going to be. The movie is set in Seattle with you guessed it a soundtrack of grunge (except for Nirvana). I mean, the soundtrack starts with “Would” by Alice in Chains and ends with “Drown” by the Smashing Pumpkins. In between, you get tracks from Pearl Jam, Sound garden, and Mudhoney. Overall I recommend the album because music is never dated but the film, gosh I can start hating the 90s again because of it.
Unknown Pleasures, Closer, Still...
Amoeba is my favorite west coast music store. So if you're around the San Francisco Bay area or L.A., this makes a great gift.
One of my favorite new artists. Get well soon, hon!
