Take it from the cover, take it from the ironic name, this album is unlike any Wilco we've ever heard. It's the culmination of everything great about their noteworthy history. No, it's not my favorite, but it might be their best.

This song is so good and moves me so much that i skip it whenever it comes on. And that sucks because I LIKE the song and want to hear it. I'd have to go through the troublesome task of taking out my "emotion" chip first. Sigh.

This song makes me think of death. Not in a freaked out, morbid kind of way, but in a "however the wind blows, big beautiful existential sigh of resignation" kind of way. Good song.

To be honest, I had almost forgotten about Beirut. I'm not really sure how because this was one of my favorite albums of '06 and he is completely amazing. Indie folk, pop lovers will all appreciate this one.

This Portland (Maine) band puts out some serious music with this 5 song Ep. It's up beat and fun, with a bit of depressing topics mixed in. Sound about par for your iPod, then you'll love this one.

So of course I'm diggin on the Violent Femmes. This album is gorgeous, featuring such folk punk classics as Gone Daddy Gone, Blister in the Sun, Kiss Off and Add It Up. I may not have been alive at this album's release, but I'll definately be picking up a copy of this rerelease.

Not everyone will like this one. It is cutting edge Swedish electronic folk music. Different but that is what makes it list worthy. I would classify it as technofolk. Give a listen to it before downloading.
