Dolce & Gabbana Novelty-Button Jacket & Ribbon-Trimmed Mini Dress
When I first read the Great Gatsby I thought it was every so romantic (I was young, we are all foolish then). Upon re-read of this book I've changed my stance considerably, one thing remains though I love the whole idea of the characters in the book and I could totally see Daisy wearing a dress like this for a game of tennis, croquet or simply an afternoon tea. It's almost 20s cut dress with that glorious red bow on the back is paired with a simple linen coat. Perfect for spring, perfect for the resort, or perfect to indulge your inner Gatsby with.
I just couldn't resist posting a second red, Emmanuelle Chriqui-inspired number. This long, flowy Valentino is breathtaking. It will cost a pretty penny, but if you have the budget, by all means...
Emmanuelle Chriqui snagged a vintage Halston, the rest of us might have to go more mass-produced. This shorter Carmen Marc Valvo captures the glamour of Emmanuelle's gown, but allows more versatility so we can get more wear.
