I found this while in New Orleans last New Year's...a great addition to any collection. More a coffee table book than anything, but it has great photography and inspiration, as well as a lengthy section on history of cultural influences to the regions cooking. Cajun & Creole are NOT the same thing!

The 2008 Frommer's guidebook. Essential to any Mardi Gra first timer. It is the best city in the US so you must plan out your entire visit so you see EVERYTHING.
