iGlow Hair Gel - Creates Its Own Light, Without Black Lights

IGLOW hair gel is fast getting a reputation as the coolest hair gel on the planet. Why?.. Well its creates its own light source for starters.Glows in Total darkness (or after sunset) or indoors for 4 -6 hours ... iGlow is a product that is entirely self illuminating , needs NO other light,no recharging, Ultraviolet, Black light... More about the actual glow effect and how this is acheived later in this article. What else makes it so special? Versatility. Thus far, the only other way you could use a Glow in the dark product indoors or out in TOTAL Darkness, was to use a Glow stick, (Toxic and sealed) ,or UV / Black Light activated items... ( switch off the UV, turn off the Glow!), A Blinky ( Battery operated, necklaces writsbands etc..) or rechargable item ( most are mainly toxic, and not meant for use on the skin) iGlow races ahead because of it emit its own light source , and very very cool to wear!. Is it Safe?. Absoloutley. The safety factor is another huge plus for iGlow. The product was specificly formulated for SAFE use on the skin and hair.Tested and approved to FDA and EU safety standards...non toxic, non allergenic, temporary, and the user just washes out after use. This is not a semi permanent dye product. iGlow coats the hair with luminous color, does not dye it. Therefore it is even safe for permed or bleached hair.Plus you dont have to wait for months for your natural hair color to return to normal! Seeing is believing?: A picture is worth a 1000 words as they say, well a video is worth a million. You can see the iGlow Video on www.metacafe.com/watch/530090/ How about pricing? ... Value for money?. I think the price is very fair... and so do tens of thousands of others. No more expensive than other Glow in the Dark products.. and a hell of a lot safer to use, fun to wear, and versatile. (Manufacturers recommended selling price of $.8.95 is quite reasonable for a gel that you can use all year round at raves, music festivals, halloween, xmas, on vacation, concerts or parties and the like. The Manufacturer website have a deal on at present, as an introductory offer... 4 iGlow packs for the price of three.) IGLOW Website: www.voltagehairgel.com i GLOW HAIR GEL - Product Glow Process Description i-GLOW HAIR GEL does not rely on UV, neon or black lights to create glow. Instead, it produces its own light! Tiny, microscopic particles in the gel come together in the mixing process to produce a bright colorful glow that can be seen in partial light and in the dark for at least 4 - 6 hours (technically, this incredible effect lasts more than 24 hours at a diminishing intensity of glow (luminence). The best thing is, while i-GLOW HAIR GEL is classified as a "temporary hair color" it does not actually color the hair cuticle. It "coats" the hair with color. The gel is the delivery medium for the luminescence (glow). This meanst is safe for color-treated or bleached hair when used as directed. In the case of colors blue and green, the gel is colorless both in the mixing container and on the hair under normal lighting conditions. Yellow and orange colors do show some color hues in the mixing container but when applied to hair in a lighted room the color mostly disappears because the concentration on the hair is lower. When lighting is reduced to about half-light or darker, all four colors show up brightly. Note: The manufacturers have introduced a "day tint" in the the product. So if you are wearing say Yellow, and you walk into a very bright area in a night club, or into daylight, where the glow will not be apparent, this day tint takes over, showing yellow straks in your hair. Move back in to shade /darkness, half light and the glow returns to full intensity. The i-GLOW HAIR GEL Gel's effect is activated when you first open the container and mix the contents as instructed using the provided applicator. Once activated, the glow will last for at least 4-6 hours. Each container is intended for one-time application but depending on the effect desired and amount of gel used, one container is typically enough for 2 people as a little "dab" will go a long way. Create 1 inch streaks or spikes of bright glowing color, or go all out with a full head coverage. Usage hint: Blow-drying hair for around 15 -20 seconds will increase the intensity of the brightness but shorten the duration of the glow. i-GLOW HAIR GEL is meant for short-term use only and should be washed out of the hair before going to bed. To remove i-GLOW HAIR GEL simply shampoo out. What are the plans for future improvements and new products to augment the iGlow user experience? There will soon be new colors released in 2007 (currently in test marketing mode) : Hot pink, Light Pink, White, Neon Green, Neon Blue. A body gel is also due for release. Ther is also a Glowing Sand waiting in the wings. (Actually a dry versiion of the Glowing gel. ) You can see the video of Glowsand at : www.metacafe.com/watch635460/ (Just copy and paste the above site links into your browser address window, and press enter, and you will be taken directly to the videos/sites in question) What can iGlow be used for ?: Huge number of uses: Spring Break events parties, raves, Major Music Festivals and concerts, Sports events,Fundrainsing, Nighclubs, Halloween, Fancy dress, on Vacation, Special fx in Movies (Horror and Science fiction makeup and set fx application) Music video visual fx, Advertising, Product launches, Venue theme lighting fx... New year and Xmas celebrations.. Mardi Gras...to name just a few ares of interest. iGlow personalises the user Glow in the Dark experience, creating a unique, eye catching look that will definitley get you noticed. A stunning new Glow concept that is now attracting rave reviews by the public and media alike in the USA and more recently on an international level. Not bad for a new product technology that has only been on the market for ess than 18 months, with no major publicity campaign... first conceived at a Rock Concert just over three and a half years ago. Trivia Game, Truth or Dare, Lifehacks and NY '09 Resolutions, Chore Chart, Jewelry Organizer..... so much more...~ It's like XMas at Studio 54! "Pass the 'nog, Andy! Powdered sugar for my holiday cookies? No, Bianca, I think I'll pass....." I'll be honest. When it comes to advent calendars... well.... I'm a whore. Yes. I'm an advent calendar whore. I can't help it! It's not so much about the countdown for me as it is about all the little nooks and crannies and boxes and pouches containing treasures. I don't care if they're cheap, tacky, ridiculous treasures. The anticipation is delicious. "Yay, it's a new day! I wonder what piece of crap I get today?" I have been heard to trill as I leap and bound (well, roll and waddle) down the stairs every morning. (The fact that I am the only adult in the house and the one who restocked last season's calendar, and thus am in possession of the Crap 411 ie "What's Inside the Boxes," is something I choose to ignore. That's why I check early in the morning, before caffeine.) I love this one in particular because it has so many non-advent calendar usages. From creative party food display (fill the boxes with truffles or hors d'oeuvres, leaving some doors open so that people can see what's inside, and set it on the buffet), to a jewelry box (if you're very organized you can print up a list of what numbers correspond to which pieces and attach it to the back) or come up with a game (trivia or Memory perhaps?) to play at an event. Fun fashion pictures from the 80's (neon, jelly shoes, Aqua Net) that you print in pairs can go behind doors for a Memory-type game. Or type up baby questions or naughty sex truth-or-dare questions for a baby or bridal shower. How about putting a New Year's resolution or lifehack idea into each compartment and opening one a week in 2009? Or favorite quotes/relationship advice for an amazing wedding present? Whatever. It's all good. Or so says the whore.

But don't just think "large scale production." Oh no. Your holiday party, office soiree or even Christmas Day celebration is an event in and of itself. So check out a site like this for the quickest, most DRAMATIC way to transform a room into an experience. Whether you are looking for a Dickens' Village atmosphere, a winter snowscape or a grand French parlor, a backdrop in an appropriate size can be rented for a few days, a week or more. But what I run to FIRST on sites like this is the Clearance/Sale section- that's where used stage backdrops (and gorgeous draperies and panels) are actually SOLD at very reasonable prices. So consider investing in some amazing holiday decor this year..... ps You don't need all of the fancy hanging stuff. Icebox cookies are really just extra-pretty sugar cookies. Before baking, the dough is flattened, rolled into logs, chilled, and sliced-steps kids can have fun doing themselves with your supervision. * 1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter * 1 3/4 cups sugar * 1 teaspoon salt * 2 eggs, plus an extra egg white for "glue" * 3 teaspoons pure vanilla extract * 5 cups flour, plus more for work surface * 2/3 cup milk * 1/4 cup cocoa powder * Food coloring, in various colors * TOOLS * Electric mixer * Mixing bowls * Measuring cups * Measuring spoons * Rubber spatula * Plastic wrap * Parchment or waxed paper * Rolling pin * Bench scraper or butter knife * Ruler * Pastry brush * Cardboard paper-towel tubes, cut open lengthwise * Key tags and crayons * Dental floss or thread * Baking sheets * Metal spatula * Wire cooling rack Directions 1. Using the electric mixer, mix the butter and the sugar until creamy. 2. Add the eggs and the salt, and mix well. 3. Beat in milk and vanilla. 4. Add flour a little at a time, mixing it in until all of it has been incorporated. 5. Divide the dough into balls -- one for each color. 6. For chocolate dough, add cocoa (1/4 cup is enough to flavor half a batch). Mix well with electric mixer. 7. For colored dough, start with 1/4 teaspoon food coloring, and mix well. Add more in tiny amounts for darker colors. Gel-paste coloring can be intense, so add it gradually. 8. Wrap each ball of dough in its own sheet of plastic wrap; pat flat into a rectangle. Refrigerate at least one hour or until ready to use. 9. Parchment or waxed paper makes a good work surface. Sprinkle generously with flour, then roll out each piece of dough 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick to make the swirls; you can use thicker layers for the bull's-eyes. 10. The bench scraper is a good tool for trimming dough's edges to make them even. The egg white, brushed on with a pastry brush, will act as a glue, making the layers stick together. 11. For center, with your hands, roll chocolate dough into a 1/2- to 1 1/2- inch-thick rod; chill 20 minutes. Place rod on edge of rolled-out dough that's been brushed with egg white. 12. Roll rod inside sheet of dough. Cut the dough where it meets up. Seal by pinching and pressing gently. Chill 20 minutes, then repeat to add other layers. To decorate, go to step 7, or jump to step 8 for plain. 13. For spirals, measure and trim two or more colors of dough to same size. Brush on egg white, then stack layers. Brush top with egg white. Starting at one end, roll up the dough. 14. Smooth and straighten the layers as you roll them so there are no gaps, then gently pinch and press the edge of the roll to seal it. Now the dough is ready to decorate. If you want plain cookies, skip to step 18. 15. Add your favorite toppings (try coconut, colored sanding sugar, chopped nuts, or chocolate sprinkles): Spread topping in baking sheet, brush dough with egg white, and roll the log in topping. 16. Roll each log in parchment or waxed paper; twist the ends of the paper closed. To help the logs keep their round shape, set each in a cardboard paper-towel roll that you have sliced open lengthwise. 17. To remember what colors you have already used, with crayons, draw the designs onto key tags; tie the tags onto the paper covering the logs. Chill logs until they are solid, about 1 1/2 hours. 18. Cut 15 inches of dental floss (or double thickness of thread). Let log soften for about 10 minutes. Remove parchment. Wrap floss around log and pull through. Make the slices thin: 1/4 inch or less. 19. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place slices on an ungreased baking sheet (lined with parchment paper). A grown-up should bake the cookies 12 to 15 minutes, until firm but not browned. Let cool on baking sheet for several minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
