Oh man, I love my Wii and I want this soo bad.

I was excited when Wii came out 6 years ago, and was even more excited when they announced WiiU last year. If you missed the E3 show this year, you missed all of the excitement behind the Wii U. Nintendo has been known to market games that appeal to the younger generation. With the WiiU, they really are making something that appeals to everyone. From Mario games, to shooters like Mass Effect 3. The graphics look really good which should rope in a lot of gamers who think it's the most important thing. As for the system hardware, there is nothing like it. having a tablet with game controls, and a touch screen is genious. The only thing that would make it better is if you could take it outside of the house. That would probably pull away from 3ds sales though, and I am sure they though of that. The WiiU should be available this 2012 holiday season. From Nintendo's Website. Size Approximately 1.8 inches high, 10.5 inches deep and 6.8 inches long. Weight Approximately 3.41 pounds (1.5 kg). Wii U™ GamePad The Wii U GamePad™ controller removes the traditional barriers between games, players and the TV by creating a second window into the video game world. It incorporates a 6.2-inch, 16:9 aspect ratio LCD touch screen, as well as traditional button controls and two analog sticks. Inputs include a +Control Pad, L/R sticks, L/R stick buttons, A/B/X/Y buttons, L/R buttons, ZL/ZR buttons, Power button, HOME button, -/SELECT button, +/START button, and TV CONTROL button. The GamePad also includes motion control (powered by an accelerometer, gyroscope and geomagnetic sensor), a front-facing camera, a microphone, stereo speakers, rumble features, a sensor bar, an included stylus and support for Near Field Communication (NFC) functionality. It is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and weighs approximately 1.1 pounds (500 g). Other Controllers The Wii U console is capable of supporting two Wii U GamePad controllers, up to four Wii Remote (or Wii Remote Plus) controllers or Wii U Pro Controllers, and Wii accessories such as the Nunchuk, Classic Controller and Wii Balance Board. Video Output Supports 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i. Compatible cables include HDMI, Wii D-Terminal, Wii Component Video, Wii RGB, Wii S-Video Stereo AV and Wii AV. Appearance The new console features a compact design that will make it a natural addition to any home entertainment setup. CPU IBM PowerⓇ-based multi-core processor. GPU AMD Radeon™-based High Definition GPU. Storage Wii U uses an internal flash memory. It also supports SD memory cards and external USB storage. Media Wii U and Wii optical discs. Networking Wii U can access the Internet via wireless (IEEE 802.11b/g/n) connection. The console features four USB 2.0 connectors – two in the front and two in the rear – that support Wii LAN Adapters. Wii Compatibility Nearly all Wii software and accessories can be used with Wii U. Audio Output Uses six-channel PCM linear output via HDMI® connector, or analog output via the AV Multi Out connector. Wii U Features In addition to introducing new ways to play, Wii U also offers users a variety of non-gaming features to enhance the overall experience. Miiverse: Miiverse is a brand-new network communication system that lets gamers from around the world share experiences, discuss games and discover new content. Using their personalized Mii character, players enter Miiverse and see games, applications or entertainment content that either they have interacted with recently, expressed interest in learning more about or that their friends are using or discussing. From here they can challenge their friends to play together, ask a question about a difficult level or discover new elements of their favorite games they never knew existed. After a notable achievement or other share-worthy moment, players can pause their game or application and seamlessly post messages to the Miiverse community. TV Remote: The Wii U GamePad controller may also function as an infrared TV remote, whether users are watching TV or playing a game. Near Field Communication (NFC): The Wii U GamePad has the ability to communicate wirelessly with objects that are held above it. This allows for a variety of interesting new possibilities for games and activities. Nintendo eShop: The digital storefront for Wii U will be available at launch and offer a variety of content for people to download and enjoy. Consumers will also be able to purchase and download select games that are also available at retail stores. Video Entertainment: Nintendo is working with Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, and YouTube to bring video experiences to Wii U that will take advantage of the integrated second-screen experience. Additional details will be released at a later time. Video Chat: Using the built-in camera of the Wii U GamePad, people can communicate with other Wii U owners in real time. Internet Browser: Wii U comes with a browser that lets people with a wireless Internet connection surf the Internet from the comfort of their couches.

Nov 7, 2010 marks the day of the red Wii, and Dsi XL. The Wii arrives with two games (Super Mario Bros, and Wii Sports), and also a new Wii remote Plus controller. No more purchasing wii motion plus to stick in the bottom. The specs will still be the same, but it's all in red and limited so if you want one, you better be fast. The new DSi XL comes with special artwork, Mario Kart DS, and three built in titles. These are going to be colloctor's items for sure. I might have to buy two of them.

Come May 9th, lines are going to be long in hopes of grabbing a black Nintendo Wii gaming console. It's sleek black finish, on the poster in Gamestop had me drooling for a few minutes. If you already have a white one, it's no big deal. You can preorder at Gamestop, and trade in your old one. You would only pay $50 towards a new black Wii. This time around, the Wii console will come with Wii Sports Resort, a black Wii controller, and Wii Motion Plus. This is in addition to the original Wii sports game. I have one of the very first Wii consoles, so I may just keep it for a collector's item. I definately want a black one though. Good luck on May 9th because these are going to sell out just as quick as they hit the shelf.

It was like seeing all white at a institution. Not long ago, Nintendo released black remotes, which had a cool stealth look to them, but now we can have even more color. You can choose blue or pink to add to your collection. I am sure they will be releasing more color choices in the near future. Just be on the lookout to get yours first.

I love puzzles and games and typically bring some crossword puzzles or something along with me, but they get crumpled and ripped and are kind of bulky. Plus, I only have what is in that one book. With a DS I can swap between arcade style games AND brain teasers.

If I had, I would not have enough money to buy the new DSi. Yeah, it does sound almost like the original ds or the ds lite, except it's a 1,000 times cooler. Everywhere I go, I see some mom or kid walking around with their Ds. It's one of the hottest portable systems ever created. Now it's going to get even cooler. I am not going to rush out and be first though, because it will only be available in black or white. I prefer some color, and not a skin either. I bet they are going to come out with some colors a few months to a year later which gives me some time to save up. Even with the economy being bad, I think these will fly off shelves as quickly as they are put on. If you own a Wii, just go to the nintendo channel, and watch the video. if not, I took some info from a website below. It isn't a new generation, as it will accept DS games in its Slot-1, but it will lose out the GBA cartridge slot. Makes me wonder how the DSi is going to handle various DS games that require the Slot-2 to work such as Guitar Hero: On Tour and the fancy paddle controller used in another title. Other improvements include :- Larger 3.25" displays Reduction in size by 2.6mm (very minor - will see how it pans out in the end) External 0.3 megapixel camera VGA camera on hinge Music playback On-board browser WiiWare compatibility DSiWare download service Each DSi will come with 1,000 free Wii Points for you to get started. Will be available in April.
