Baby Boomers are hot, like Ron Perlman of Sons of Anarchy, this magazine has compiled a list of incredible boomers. Each year Living Life...Boomer Style magazine puts together a list of the most interesting and talented people who have added so much to our life style of today. The boomer hot list is not based on just looks, it is based on what they are up to...primarily of creating things bigger than themselves, amongst other things. You can tell they put in a lot of thought as to who qualified for the list. The people are inspiring, interesting, and fun. There are artists, athletes, cartoonists, authors, musicians, business people, Internet trailblazers, designers, actors, doctors and more. The quotes from the baby boomers are interesting, and the reasons why they were chosen are fun. Perlman was chosen for his incredible acting ability--remember him in Beauty and the Beast? His velvet voice as the beast with the beautiful personality. How about when he played the hunchback or hellboy? As well as always being a meaty character actor in film and onstage. This actor is under rated by Hollywood standards, yet well loved by a large fanbase. And, Living Life...Boomer Style magazine seems to have a sense of these things. This is one of the best reads I have had in a long time. The online magazine is interactive and interesting. They also have some bangin' tunes to watch the slide shows to. Difficult to keep from dancing. And, you get to choose your favorite female and male for the list to vote them as the number one boomer hot of 2009. What fun. This is well worth several coffee breaks and taking your time to go through. Savoring the music, images, and quotes made for many well spent breaks for me. I think it will for you, as well.

There are few artists today that can write a record of back-to-back pop gems like Everybody Else, and even fewer with the vocal and musical chops to pull it off live. Their unusual sound demonstrates a deep sense of the history of pop music, but could not exist in any decade but this one. With their forthcoming album, producer Rick Parker (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Howl), has finally captured the spirit of their electrifying live show, marked by an energy that always seems to teeter on the edge of chaos without ever falling apart. . All great music should reflect the personalities of those making it, and anyone who sees Everybody Else live will recognize the jois de vivre shared by the three onstage. "Happy Punk"- very upbeat. For fans of Rooney, Locksley, Hanson, Ozma, Cobra Starship, The Virgins, and any indie pop.

This is all the accessory you need, but remember, it is not a shirt!

John Lennon & The Plastic Ono Band Live In Toronto ’69 is a rare look at one of the world’s most influential popular artists at a pivotal moment in his career. Filmed on the eve of the release of the Abbey Road LP — the last Beatles album to be recorded — this is the only performance ever caught on film of John Lennon & the Plastic Ono Band. It had been three years since Lennon had performed onstage with The Beatles. Seemingly on a whim, John and wife Yoko Ono hopped on a plane with guitarist Eric Clapton, bassist Klaus Voormann and drummer Alan White to travel to the Toronto Rock ’N’ Roll Revival festival showcasing some of Lennon’s early musical heroes — among them Bo Diddley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry and Little Richard. As it turned out, Lennon and the newly formed Plastic Ono Band played an equally significant role that night in the history of rock ’n’ roll, as it is widely believed this concert foreshadowed the official end of The Beatles. Captured by Academy Award®–nominated director D.A. Pennebaker (The War Room, Don’t Look Back, Monterey Pop), this concert film serves as one of the great historical documents in the career and life of John Lennon.

Ok, there is a whole personal thing that goes along with this that I won't get into about how every year for the past decade I've found myself daydreaming about being at this concert (in the front row) when Angus gets the stomach flu. The band's manager slips out from behind the curtain and walks up to whisper something in my ear. My friends are all shocked, having no idea I know the band. I disappear only to reappear moments later onstage in thigh high boots and holding a guitar. There is also something involving a backflip that is perfectly timed to the music. But like I said, I'm not getting into that here.

Occasionally even the most unlikely of cities get to bathe in a glittering burst of history, this time it's the sleepy beach town of Santa Monica, where in 1972--as the ancients tell us--David Bowie landed long enough to record this killer live show. Product Description In 1972, David Bowie set out on his first US tour. He'd recently introduced the world to his Ziggy Stardust persona with his top 5 album 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars' and had completed a hugely successful UK tour. The Santa Monica concert, David's first live US radio broadcast, was aired live on KMET in L.A. Over the last 36 years this historic recording has only been occasionally available as a bootleg. For many, ownership of this concert was regarded as a true test of being a 'proper Bowie fan'. This powerful, galvanizing show allows a more than 70 minute glimpse into the earliest nationwide live radio exposure granted David and the Spiders. The set list is compiled primarily from the 'Hunky Dory' and 'Ziggy Stardust' albums and features two covers, Jacques Brel's "My Death" and the Velvet Underground's "Waiting for the Man," alongside the awesome power of 'The Man Who Sold The World' centrepiece "The Width Of A Circle" (this version is a ten and a half minute sonic assault) and an 'Aladdin Sane' previewing "The Jean Genie." The set list is also quite different from the Ziggy terminating 'Ziggy Stardust - The Motion Picture Soundtrack. Accompanying David was The Spiders From Mars: Mick Ronson - guitar, vocals, Trevor Bolder - bass, Mick "Woody" Woodmansey - drums and Mike Garson - piano. This is David Bowie at the pinnacle of his creative power - in 1981 NME critics called it, "(quite simply) ... the performer's, and one of rock's, best ever bootlegs". The CD will be released as a limited edition with special packaging featuring shots taken at the actual gig for the first time. The double LP will be a heavyweight vinyl one off run. David says:- "I can tell that I'm totally into being Ziggy by this stage of our touring. It's no longer an act; I am him. This would be around the tenth American show for us and you can hear that we are all pretty high on ourselves. We train wreck a couple of things, I miss some words and sometimes you wouldn't know that pianist Mike Garson was onstage with us but overall I really treasure this bootleg. Mick Ronson is at his blistering best."

Mmm-Mmmm-Uh-uh, Mmmmmm, uh-uh-uh- Kinda sounds like that but with guitars. SYR 8 'ANDRE SIDER AF SONIC YOUTH' This installment of Sonic Youth's series of experimental + mostly instrumental releases will be available July 28 2008 in a CD-only edition self-released on the band's own SYR label. This disk presents the complete 'Other Sides of Sonic Youth' improvised live performance from the 2005 Roskilde Festival in Denmark, featuring Sonic Youth (with Jim O'Rourke) and guests Swedish saxophonist Mats Gustafsson, and Japanese sound artist Masami Akita (aka Merzbow). The single piece performed was a structured improvisation which for 60 minutes added and subtracted musicians one by one until only Masami was left onstage. Black Sabbath followed.

Are you a music-performer who needs software that cues up your music? For example, if I were using Apple Logic Studio 8 in a live performance, I can use OnStage to load the next track with a single-click (or even MIDI trigger), the next song/instrumental will quickly load. In fact, faster than how Logic would close and open another file. I don't know how Fluge Creative Software did it? But it works great. Allan Pollard says he uses OnStage & Logic Pro for Bjork's "Volta" tour. Price: low cost. Usability: easy. Recommended for live performers.

I would be lost without your powerful sound captured in such a small footprint. You pack up nice and neat in my luggage and never fail to wake me up with music instead of an annoying buzz-buzz-buzz alarm.
