Organic At Walgreens - The Face Shop.
Walgreens are pitching a more beautiful green future with the introduction of The Face Shop, number one selling cosmetic brand in Korea. Believing that nature is the best source of beauty, their products are formulated with natural extracts and are completely free of harmful chemicals. Priced as affordable without sacrificing quality, I haven't personally tried the products but the line includes makeup, skincare etc... I also haven't been able to verify ingredients from their website, but I love that they're making the effort so that's why I bring them up. Just make sure if you swing by to check out the line, that you read the labels.

It seems as though every day we get news of another 'great new this' or 'fabulous new that', and I'll be the first to put my hand up & gleefully admit it makes me just as excited as the rest of you to be in the know, to hear of things first, and to be updated on the latest & greatest - however, there's something to be said for the ancient, the stoic, the classic, the tried & tested. Known and used for thousands of years by island cultures, coconut oil is one such legendary ingredient that falls squarely in that category. Not only has it properties that make it a staple in most organic beauty products as well as most natural skin & haircare collections, but it's stunningly simple, not expensive and is one of nature's most potent emollients for everything from hair conditioning to skin moisturizing - and you can cook beautiful food with it! This latest release from Dessert Essence Organics harnesses all the goodness of coconut oil in the form of a nourishing Coconut Oil Shampoo & Conditioner, that promises to bring back shine, eliminate frizzies, restore luster and deliver intense moisture to dry, over-processed hair. Add to that some gorgeous packaging and a price tag of around $7, and you've scored yourself what I'd call a beautiful bargain. I'm one of those label-reading, ingredient poring, information seeking obsessives who needs to know everything there is to know before making a purchase, whether it's my beauty products or what I eat. How could I have known that obsession would reach a whole new level of pedantic a while back when I became pregnant with twin boys, but it did with a vengeance! Based on a medley of nine natural ingredients chosen for their gentle effectiveness and scented with the fresh smell of pure mint (which anyone who has been pregnant with that canine sense of smell you develop will tell you does help ease the nausea - or at the very least doesn't add to it!), this Nine Naturals line is a godsend for anyone who is pregnant. Natural plant oils work to hydrate and soften hair, wheat proteins create vibrance and shine, the mint also fights fatigue on sleepy mornings, and no crazy chemicals! Simple, smart and only the best organic & natural ingredients so you don't have to worry about you, or that little bundle growing inside you.
