These fleece lined tights are warm and fit well, but at the website where I purchased them, they were categorized as leggings. Though they look like leggings, they do not have the full opacity of most leggings or slim pants. They also have seems at the inseam and rear. You'd want to pair them with clothes that cover the seams if you intend to wear them as leggings. Because the fabric is more dense than a pair of tights, they do not offer an entirely slim silhouette the way a pair of opaque tights generally do. However, if you layer this probably won't be an issue. This company also makes socks, footed tights, and different variations of the footless tights using the same fleece lined fabric. Being a former Los Angeleno living in Chicago (meaning, I'm still freezing while Chicagoans think that 55 degrees is "warm"), I love these tights!
