Oxo Good Grips Convertible Colander
i heard a complaint about Oxo, that they're over-engineered. frankly, i think it's the rest of the kitchen accessory world that is under-engineered. this colander has thoughtful folding legs that allows the drainer to sit above the sink. as usual, their thick black rubber handles and parts are distinctive and useful.

I can't lie, I have had a few accidents in the past when it came to removing corn from the cob. This genius corn stripper from OXO will be my next kitchen purchase as soon possible! Roasted corn has a much more desirable flavour when I need it for salsas, salads, and quesadillas which is why I recommend this. The grilling season is quickly approaching and traditional corn on the cob is always on the table, but why not try adding roasted corn to other dishes for a more intense flavour? This is especially great for those that have butter-fingers. (Haha... excuse the pun. How corny, right?!)

i love this grater! a convenient design that will keep extra cheese handy and fresh. the only problem i have with it is that the top to the box is kind of flimsy and cracked. if you hand wash it, though, it should last.

But, I know that a lot of you are Type A, multi-taskers and you're often opening cans while returning emails and catching up on the latest episode of Top Chef. This recommendation is for you! The OXO Smooth Edge Can Opener doesn't actually cut the top off of a can, but it separates the adhesive glue bind the entire lid to the can. Once around the can and Voila! You've got a lid with no sharp edges and a can that can easily be resealed. Now, you can eat the rest of that creamed corn - instead of wasting it. And remember, OXO rocks!

The Oxo Flour Sifter doesn't work like old school sifters where you have to pull some sort of trigger assembly until you develop carpal tunnel. With the Oxo Flour Sifter, all you have to do is gently rock the sifter back and forth -- that does the trick. As I've said before, OXO rocks!
