OXO Uplift Teakettle - Brushed Stainless Steel

OXO Uplift Teakettle - Brushed Stainless Steel

I'm a big fan of Oxo (pronounced Ox-O) products. Like all Oxo products, the Oxo Uplift Teakettle was designed with the user and the user's safety, in mind. This particular tea pot looks great on the stove and has a cool mechanism eliminating the need for a separate buttom to open the tea pot's spout. As you tip the tea pot to pour, the spout automatically opens. How cool is that...? Oxo rocks!

I should start by saying that most of the people I know, myself included, don't usually have a problem avoiding the sharp edges of a can lid once it's been opened with a typical can opener. But, I know that a lot of you are Type A, multi-taskers and you're often opening cans while returning emails and catching up on the latest episode of Top Chef. This recommendation is for you! The OXO Smooth Edge Can Opener doesn't actually cut the top off of a can, but it separates the adhesive glue bind the entire lid to the can. Once around the can and Voila! You've got a lid with no sharp edges and a can that can easily be resealed. Now, you can eat the rest of that creamed corn - instead of wasting it. And remember, OXO rocks!

Once again, I'm recommending an item that probably won't get a lot of mentions in any "Top 10 Items to run out and buy next week" lists. But, The OXO flour sifter is great to have in any well-equipped kitchen. The Oxo Flour Sifter doesn't work like old school sifters where you have to pull some sort of trigger assembly until you develop carpal tunnel. With the Oxo Flour Sifter, all you have to do is gently rock the sifter back and forth -- that does the trick. As I've said before, OXO rocks!
