i love Calphalon from personal experience. this piece is high on my list of "next kitchen accessory." i love the polished steel look and the ridged pan bottom. my nonstick set has been very faithful to me.

This might be the ugliest counter top sandwich maker I've seen, but it also might have the ability to go to the highest temperature too. It goes up to 525. That's hot. (And not in a Paris Hilton way).

I've never owned a George Foreman (though I've had roommates who have), but I can see where it would be nice to have. It lets you see if you would use a panini press without having the major money investment before you decide you want it.

Then again, why would I want le creuset when I could have All-Clad? Hee! Actually I like the fact that this panini set is more like a pan with a pan handle and a lid handle (means less chance of burns for me!). Hooray for All... I might not have a brick, but le creuset makes sure that I can have the functionality of a brick in a hand panini press. I like this idea because it's not some gigantic grill, it just does it's job. Technically, it's Breville's Indoor BBQ and Grill, but you're not really going to use it for that. It's a fancy panini grill that'll turn out the most expensive grilled cheese sandwich you've ever made at home.

Oprah makes Stedman a "Love Sandwich" on this Breville SG820XL Maxi 2-in-1 Panini Press. I love this because it melts cheese, smashes all those yummy ingredients together and makes a lovely lunch.
