I call this Mask my Miracle in a jar! I have over active pores in my face which cause's my face to be over oily. For years I have searched for a solution to my problem. Trying every over the counter, and proactive treatment out there which only lead to more disappointment. I never realized my own creativity held the key to my cure. This mask not only deep cleans your skin, but it also balances oil control for hours on end! When you do your deep clean facial treatment this mask will pull all of your black heads, and white heads to the surface of the skin. It is basically extracting the ewwy gewy stuff from your face making it look younger, radiant, and beautiful. This Mask contains Dead Sea Mineral Mud from Jordan, Australian green olive clay, Kaolin white clay, Rose Geranium floral water, Goats Milk, and Honey. This Mask is totally free of any Nut Oils, and is Paraben-free. For Daily Oil Control: In the morning apply a light layer to the skin for approximately 1 or 2 min then rinse. Weekly Deep Cleansing Mask Treatment: For a Deep cleansing treatment apply a slightly thick layer on the face. Leave on for 10 -15 min then rinse. No need to even remove makeup or wash your face before mask treatment as this mask will do it for you! Deep cleansing mask only needs applied once or twice a week. Mud from the Dead Sea has a high salt and mineral content, all of which are essential for the body. The mud infuses the skin with minerals leaving it clean, refreshed and hydrated. Dead Sea mud has the dual purpose of exfoliating as well as being as a natural cleanser. It not only removes toxins and impurities from the skin, but also tightens and tones the skin, improves blood circulation, hydrates the skin and aids in skin regeneration. Australian Olive Green Clay: Strengthening for all skin types, Australian Olive Green Clay is the strongest of all clays for detoxification and is beneficial for use on acne-prone and oily skin. Minerals in the clay help to re-balance oil flow, strengthen the skin, and aid in the repair of scars. It is ideal for body wraps after pregnancy, where cellulite or stretch marks are of concern. Kaolin Facial Scrub White Clay: This soft and gentle clay is generally non-sensitizing, and helps to remove oil from the skin keeping the nose from looking shiny. Honey Powder: Its antiseptic properties inhibit the growth of certain bacteria and help to keep external wounds clean and free from infection. As such Honey Powder can be used as part of balms or healing salve. Honey Powder is said to have anti-aging properties. Honey is a humectant, having the ability attract and retain moisture, and to rebuild the moisture level in the skin without making it oily. These wonderful properties will nourish and feed the skin while zinc helps to reconstruct collagen, encouraging moisture retention and elasticity slowing down the effects of aging and skin damage. Goats milk is rich in beta-hydroxy and lactic acids that act as natural skin conditioners because they exfoliate dead skin cells promoting smooth radiant skin. It contains caprylic acid which helps maintain the PH of the skin while assisting to maintain a slightly acidic mantle which is necessary for healthy skin. It also has a pH that is close to the human skin making it mild on extremely sensitive skins including those that suffer from dermatitis and eczema. I found this incredible store in Ottawa called Harnn and Thann that has all natural skincare from Thailand. I use the Thann Line - starting with the Shiso Foaming Wash followed by the shiso anti-aging facial cream. Recently I started to use the Shiso facial serum with centella and banana about twice a week. With this skincare regime my skin feels refreshed, soothed and clear. The bonus is that the price is great and these products are totally Paraben free. I definately recommend the all natural switch - check it out www.thann.ca.

I got the High Five set as a present and it contained their hand lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body balm and face cream. So far I've only used their hand lotion, conditioner and balm so far and while the results aren't groundbreaking, they are really comfortable to use. The price range is in the lower band, which is another plus in this company's corner. Must try!

I've been following Balmshell since it's inception and have been curious about the products but I didn't try anything until they launched the Smear Campaign (I have yet to find out more about the ingredients of their lip gloss) but the Smear Campaign is paraben-free and has natural ingredients in it, which is something that prompted me to try their product. It is fantastic -- it's like Benefit's Benetint (can be used on the lips and cheeks), only with more variety and easier to use with the brush and liquid at one end and a smudger at the other end. It's in the medium band, in terms of price but it's completely worth buying. The colours should work for all skin tones -- must-have for the beauty bag. Balmshell are also releasing something called the Rich Stick, which I am looking forward to seeing.
